On April 16, 2026, our Coalition Partner Children and Young People Living for Peace (CYPLP) hosted a landmark one-day workshop in Kaduna State for Judges and Magistrates. The session focused on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), specifically aiming to equip judicial officers with legal frameworks that support survivor-centric justice and prevent re-victimization within the legal process. A key focus of the workshop was doxing and its role in excluding women from the public square and democratic participation. As the first event of its kind, participants expressed deep satisfaction with the insights gained and committed to applying these principles in their courtrooms. A major milestone of the event was the collaborative development of a new Practice Direction. To ensure a comprehensive overhaul of the justice system, CYPLP will extend this training to Prosecutors and Court Registrars on April 28 and May 6, 2026, aiming to strengthen the chain of justice from the state to the national level.
